What are impact windows?
Windows with laminated glass (two glass layers bonded by an interlayer) and reinforced aluminum frames, tested to resist wind-borne debris and hurricane wind pressures. In Florida they carry Florida Building Code approval and, in Miami-Dade, the NOA seal.
Do I need a permit to replace windows and doors?
Yes. In Florida, replacing exterior windows and doors requires a county or city permit. We prepare the paperwork, pull the permit and coordinate the final inspection.
How long does installation take?
An average house is installed in 1 to 3 days once material arrives. Custom fabrication typically takes 4 to 8 weeks after permit approval.
Do impact windows lower my home insurance?
In most cases, yes. Florida insurers offer wind-mitigation discounts when all openings are protected. We provide the documentation for your mitigation inspection.
Do you work on new construction and existing homes?
Both. We work with builders on new construction and with owners on remodels, including structural modifications when an opening changes size.
